A unique and rare selection of documentary and propaganda films made during the Spanish Civil War. Special programme documenting the war from Catalonia and life in the republican side, as well as the Scottish volunteers that fought in the Spanish conflict.

To celebrate a new edition of SCAT / Scotland Catalan Film Festival, Cinemaattic collective gathers a special joint programme with rare films from Filmoteca de Catalunya, National Libraries of Scotland Moving Image Archive and British Film Institute National Archive. The films will be introduced by David Archibald, Senior Lecturer in Film and Television Studies at the University of Glasgow.

Filmoteca de Catalunya is the public institution responsible for the preservation and diffusion of Catalan film heritage.  With the aim of showing the world the diversity and wealth of their Film Preservation and Restoration Centre, Cinemaattic presents a special selection of their films put together with other hidden gems preserved by NLS and BFI.
